Get answers to common questions about Underarms Waxing.
Underarms waxing typically lasts three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth. Because wax removes hair from the root, regrowth is slower and often finer than shaving, so you’ll enjoy longer hair-free periods between appointments.
Many clients report a quick sting that fades immediately; discomfort depends on sensitivity and hair coarseness. Our experienced technicians use gentle technique, warm wax, and calming aftercare to minimize pain and ensure a comfortable, fast treatment.
Allow hair to be at least a quarter inch long and avoid shaving between appointments. Skip deodorant and heavy lotions on the day, and perform gentle exfoliation 24–48 hours before to help prevent ingrown hairs.
Waxing can sometimes trigger ingrown hairs or mild breakouts if follicles are clogged. We use hygienic technique, recommend gentle exfoliation, antibacterial aftercare, and avoiding tight clothing after service to reduce risks and support clear skin.
Wait at least six to twelve hours before showering and avoid hot water, steam, and heavy sweating for 24 hours. Use lukewarm water and a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser, and delay deodorant for 12–24 hours to prevent irritation.
For sensitive or recently tanned skin we perform a patch test and may adjust technique. Avoid waxing sunburned or freshly tanned skin—wait at least two weeks after tanning. Disclose medications like Accutane or retinoids, which may require postponing service.
